Capitol Hill Block Party is Seattle's defining indie-and-electronic summer festival, returning to Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood from August 7–9, 2026 for three days and 100+ performances across multiple indoor and outdoor stages. Now in its 24th year, CHBP transforms several closed-off Capitol Hill blocks into a true neighborhood festival — outdoor stages on the streets, indoor sets at iconic independent venues Neumos and Barboza, and pop-up performances in additional spaces throughout the surrounding blocks. There is no festival like it in the Pacific Northwest.
The genre spread across the 2026 weekend is unusually broad — indie rock, dream pop, dance pop, electronic, hip-hop, and DJ sets all share the same festival weekend — and the curation team consistently lands acts at the perfect inflection point between underground credibility and mainstream breakthrough. The bill itself is published on the festival's own site rather than here.
What sets CHBP apart is the neighborhood format. Instead of a sterile festival ground in a parking lot, Capitol Hill Block Party closes off real Seattle streets, integrates with the neighborhood's actual venues, bars, and restaurants, and creates a festival that feels less like an event you visit and more like a weekend Capitol Hill itself throws. Wristband attendees can wander between street stages and indoor venues, grab dinner at neighborhood favorites, and catch acts in 200-capacity rooms that other festivals would bury on a fourth stage. This is festival weekend the way it used to feel.
