Read this one carefully, because bodysuits are the exception here. Every other Rave Bonfire garment is measured flat — the actual dimensions of the piece laid out on a table. Bodysuits are sized by body measurements instead: the numbers on the chart describe you, not the fabric. So measure your bust, waist and hips, then match those numbers to a size.

If your measurements land across two sizes, check all three numbers against the full chart and go with the size that covers the largest of them. And if you'd rather the fit read sleek than compressive, size up.

An EDM bodysuit lives or dies on its artwork, and all-over printing is what makes ambitious artwork possible. Instead of a graphic stamped on the front, the design covers the whole piece. It's applied by sublimation, so the ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on the surface as a separate layer — there's no printed panel you can feel under your thumb.

That changes what a design can do. Colour runs from shoulder to hip without a border. Gradients travel across the body instead of stopping at a box. There's no minimum order. One bodysuit for yourself is as welcome as a set for a crew of eight, and group orders get a discount. Crews usually go one of two ways: everyone in the identical print, or one shared colourway with each person's name or a different accent colour. Both read as a set in photos, and the second one makes finding each other easier in a dark room.

Turn it inside out and wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Washing it inside out also keeps the print away from zips and buckles sharing the same load — a mesh laundry bag does the same job if you have one.

Skip fabric softener. It coats the fibres and dulls both the colour and the stretch over time. Hang it or lay it flat to dry instead of running it through a hot tumble dryer, which is hard on any stretch garment. If it needs pressing, use low heat on the reverse side, or hang it in a steamy bathroom and let the creases drop out on their own.

After a pool party or a water stage, rinse it in fresh water before it dries — chlorine and salt otherwise sit in the fabric. Same after a dusty weekend: a cold rinse beats sealing it in a plastic bag until you get around to unpacking.

Any time you'll be dancing for hours and would rather not think about your clothes. A rave one piece has no hem to ride up, no waistband gap when your arms are overhead, and nothing to re-adjust after you've been pressed against a rail. That's the whole argument for it: day three of a festival, front row at an EDM show, a warehouse night where you're moving from doors to close.
