What is Freaky Deaky 2026?

Freaky Deaky 2026 takes place on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the Travis County Exposition Center, 7311 Decker Ln, Austin, Texas. This year's edition is called The Revival, and it is produced by Disco Presents. Gates open at 3pm and the event ends at midnight on both days. Every ticket is 18+, and you must be 21 or older with valid ID to buy alcohol.

The festival has revealed its 2026 lineup and publishes it as artwork on its lineup page: a main poster plus stage posters for The Reactor, The Circuit, The Lab and The Chamber. The official site says more than 60 artists are on the bill, and the guide describes the music as a mix of house, techno, trance and bass. We only list artist names the festival publishes as text, so see the official lineup page for the full bill. The festival has also posted the lineups by day on its official Facebook page.

Costumes are part of the fun, and the official guide suggests simple DIY ideas if you don't want to pay for an elaborate one. Its costume rules include: your face must still match your ID, the costume must come off easily, and weapons, gas masks and public-safety uniforms are banned (the full list is in the guide). Inside you will find food vendors with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, free water refill stations, bars for guests 21 and over, lockers with phone charging, a vendor village and the OUTLET mental-health space.

Artists & Performers

We only publish a lineup once we have checked it against the festival's own announcement, so this one is not listed here yet. The current bill is on the official Freaky Deaky 2026 site.

Travel & Planning Guide

Freaky Deaky is held at the Travis County Exposition Center, 7311 Decker Ln, Austin, TX 78724. The airport the festival lists for the area is Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS). If you drive, parking lots open at 2pm and on-site parking costs $25 per vehicle per day, paid on arrival by cash, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay (card payments carry a $3 fee). Tailgating, drinking alcohol in the lots and sleeping in your vehicle are not allowed. ADA parking is available with a valid placard, plate or permit.

There is no camping at Freaky Deaky, including in the parking lots. The festival's preferred hotel search partner is Stay22, which covers hotels, Airbnbs and room shares near the venue. The organizers expect thousands of fans to travel to Austin for the weekend, so book your room as soon as you have your pass.

First-timer tip: order before Friday, October 9 to be safe if you want your wristband shipped (the tickets page says orders placed by that date are eligible for shipping). After that date, you collect it at the early pickup location (details to be announced) or at the box office at the venue, open 2pm to 11pm on both days. There is no re-entry, so bring everything you need for the night, and plan your ride home for when the event ends at midnight. The festival's own safety advice: never drink or use drugs and drive; take a cab, use a designated driver or use a rideshare such as Uber.

What to Know Before You Go

🎃
Know The Costume Rules

Go for a full costume or a simple DIY look; the guide says few rules apply. The official rules: your face must still be recognizable from your government ID, the whole costume must come off easily, and batteries can be no larger than AA. No police, fire, SWAT, security, military or other public-safety costumes, no handcuffs, no weapons or weapon accessories, no chains, ropes, whips or metal spikes, no glass or ceramic masks, no gas masks and no fake drugs or paraphernalia. Liquid makeup is banned; dry makeup is fine.

🌧️
Rain Or Shine

The festival goes ahead rain or shine unless the weather is life-threatening. Umbrellas, chairs and tents are banned, but ponchos are allowed. The safety page warns that temperatures change from day to night, so bring an extra layer and shoes you can dance in for hours.

🚪
There Is No Re-entry

Once you are inside, you cannot leave and come back. Pack light and smart: a small bag, a portable charger, sealed travel-size non-aerosol sunscreen and earplugs. Outside food, drinks and candy are not allowed, so plan to eat before you arrive or at the food vendors inside.

👯
Use The Buddy System

Set a meeting point with your group and stick together. If a friend feels unwell, take them to a First Aid station (there is one near every stage) or flag down the roaming Health & Safety team. If you ever feel unsafe or someone is not respecting your consent, go to any medical tent for help.

🔊
Protect Your Hearing

Two long nights near big sound systems add up. The festival recommends high-fidelity earplugs, which lower the volume evenly so the music still sounds clear. If you forget yours, the on-site medical teams list earplugs among the things they can help with.

🔍
Allow Time For Security

Every guest is searched with TSA-style screening: you empty your pockets and bags and get a full pat-down, and you may be asked to remove your shoes. Police and K9 units work the event, and Freaky Deaky has a zero-tolerance drug policy that includes medical marijuana. Arrive early and keep your ID in hand.
