The Origins of the ATLiens
ATLiens is an electronic music duo hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. They pair dubstep with a masked, extraterrestrial persona.
Their debut in dance music was the hit single “Chief,” which Skrillex premiered at Boiler Room and RL Grime, Diplo, and Jack Ü supported. ATLiens are known for wearing chrome masks with glowing red eyes, which gives them an eerie and recognizable presence.
The Name and the OutKast Album
The duo’s name is the same as the title of OutKast’s iconic 1996 album, “ATLiens,” and both acts come from Atlanta. The two are separate acts: OutKast is a hip-hop group, and ATLiens make dubstep.
