Paul van Dyk — born Matthias Paul — is the German DJ and producer widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of trance. Emerging from the Berlin club scene as the Wall came down, Paul van Dyk became a global ambassador for the genre, twice voted the World’s #1 DJ by DJ Mag.
His 1994 anthem "For an Angel" remains one of trance’s most beloved records, and tracks like "Nothing But You," "Time of Our Lives" and "Let Go" followed. Through his label Vandit Records and his long-running VONYC Sessions radio show, he has championed trance for decades.
