What is M3F Festival 2027?

M3F 2027 runs Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6, 2027 at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012, in midtown Phoenix. M3F started in 2004 as the McDowell Mountain Music Festival, created by the Phoenix general contractor Wespac Construction, and, per Relix, 100% of its proceeds fund education, arts and environmental charities, with over $6 million donated across the Valley so far. The official FAQ says the event is family friendly, children 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, the festival is fully cashless, and there is no re-entry. Gate times for 2027 had not been posted as of October 3, 2026; the box office opens at noon Friday and 11:00 AM Saturday.

The lineup was announced on August 5, 2026 and is split by day on the official lineup page: 32 acts. Friday, March 5 is led by FISHER, Joji and Sammy Virji, with Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Stryv, Gelli Haha, DJ Heartstring, Mu, Young & Sick, Brunello, Temper City, Antoine Bourachot, Jules Duke, LivvieP and DASI DASI. Saturday, March 6 is led by Disco Lines and Lola Young, with Ian Asher, BLOND:ISH, Balu Brigada, Tiga B2B AYYBO, FIFI, Between Friends, SIDEPIECE, Oxis, Roi Turbo, Omlet, Brainwreck, SunTwist, Dean Turnley and Barrett. Jane Remover was on the August announcement but withdrew, and the updated poster lists Flying Lotus instead, as reported by PinkNews. Stage names and set times for 2027 had not been published as of October 3, 2026.

Steele Indian School Park is a 75-acre city park on Central Avenue and Indian School Road, right on the Valley Metro light rail line. M3F moved there in 2024 after a decade at Margaret T. Hance Park downtown, because it had outgrown Hance Park, according to Phoenix New Times. In 2026 the festival ran three stages, Vista, Cosmic and Daydream, per AZ Big Media. The official ticket types page lists GA with 25+ performances across multiple stages and art installations, VIP with private viewing areas, VIP bars, expedited entry and VIP restrooms, and a limited-capacity Club Pass with side-stage viewing and complimentary drinks. The nonprofit model and an all-ages, family-friendly crowd are what set M3F apart from the rest of the Phoenix festival calendar.

Travel & Planning Guide

Steele Indian School Park sits at Central Avenue and Indian School Road in midtown Phoenix, a short drive north of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). The official FAQ says there is no official festival parking and asks you to use Valley Metro, rideshare, or park at 4041 N Central Ave. AZ Big Media notes the park is directly off the Central Ave and Indian School light rail stop, and the Visit Phoenix guide says a light rail all-day pass costs $4 and that rideshare, including Waymo, has pickup and drop-off next to the festival. Bike valet is available near the entrance on N Central Ave.

There is no camping. The festival does not list an official hotel partner on its site as of October 3, 2026. Visit Phoenix recommends Rise Uptown Hotel, FOUND:RE Phoenix, Moxy Phoenix Downtown, The Camby, The Global Ambassador and Sonder Midtown Phoenix. Anything along the light rail between downtown, midtown and uptown Phoenix lets you skip parking entirely, which matters because the festival has none of its own. Early March is spring training and peak visitor season in Phoenix, so book early.

Tickets are sold through Tixr, linked from the official site, and stored in your Tixr account. There is no re-entry, so bring everything you need in one clear bag. The festival box office at the park is open Friday 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The event is fully cashless, and the official FAQ says all vendors take credit and debit cards. For accessibility requests, contact the festival directly through the official site; the FAQ says M3F is committed to an accessible experience for all guests.

What to Know Before You Go

🚈
Take the light rail, not the car

The official FAQ is clear that there is no official festival parking, and it points you to Valley Metro, rideshare or the lot at 4041 N Central Ave. The light rail stops right at the park on Central Avenue, and Visit Phoenix lists the all-day pass at $4. If you stay anywhere along the rail line downtown or uptown, you can ride in and out both days without touching a parking garage.

👜
One clear bag, no re-entry

All bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no bigger than 12 x 12 x 8 inches; fanny packs and wallets up to 5 x 7 inches can be any material. Empty single-pocket hydration packs within the same size are allowed. The official FAQ says there is no re-entry, so pack sunscreen, earplugs and a light layer before you leave rather than planning a trip back to the car.

☀️
Sun first, cool evening later

WeatherSpark puts early-March Phoenix highs around 78°F and lows near 54°F, with sunset around 6:25 PM. The afternoon sets are in full sun on open grass, so wear a hat and sunglasses, both allowed by the official FAQ along with sunscreen. After dark it cools fast, so bring a light hoodie that ties around your waist for the evening headliners.

👨‍👩‍👧
Bring the kids for free

M3F has no minimum age. The official FAQ says children 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, and the event is described as family friendly. Bring earplugs for children, since they are on the allowed list, and plan an easy meeting spot, because Steele Indian School Park covers about 75 acres and the crowd is spread over several stages.

💳
Card only inside the gates

M3F is fully cashless, and the official FAQ says all vendors accept credit and debit cards. Outside food and drink are banned except empty water bottles, so plan to eat inside or before you arrive. Water stations are spread through the festival with an updated hydration plan for 2027. Fill your bottle on the way in and again before the headliners, when lines at the bars and stations get longest.

🎟️
Your ticket is a donation too

M3F was founded in 2004 by Wespac Construction, and Relix reports that 100% of proceeds fund education, arts and environmental charities, with more than $6 million donated across the Valley. Buy through Tixr from the official site rather than resale so the money reaches the M3F charities. Phoenix New Times reported two-day GA from $227 with fees, VIP at $402 and the Club Pass at $1,002.
