Day Trip Festival makes its Northern California debut at Discovery Meadow in San Jose on October 17–18, 2026 for two days of open-air house and techno celebration. Originally launched in Los Angeles as Insomniac's flagship house-and-techno daytime festival, Day Trip has grown into a touring brand that lands in Northern California for the first time in 2026 — bringing the dialed-in house programming that built the brand's reputation to the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Northern California house community.
The 2026 edition runs over two days, Saturday October 17 and Sunday October 18. The booking philosophy is pure house and tech-house — no broader genre concessions, no mainstage EDM crossovers. This is a festival for serious house music fans, by serious house music people.
Discovery Meadow is a 20-acre downtown San Jose park adjacent to the Tech Interactive and Children's Discovery Museum. The park's open-air format pairs perfectly with Day Trip's daytime-to-evening programming — 2 PM to 10 PM both days lets you experience the full sunset transition on the dance floor. The 15,000-person capacity is intimate enough for genuine community vibes, and the downtown San Jose location means hotels, food, and post-festival options are all walkable from the festival gates.
