M3F 2027 runs Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6, 2027 at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012, in midtown Phoenix. M3F started in 2004 as the McDowell Mountain Music Festival, created by the Phoenix general contractor Wespac Construction, and, per Relix, 100% of its proceeds fund education, arts and environmental charities, with over $6 million donated across the Valley so far. The official FAQ says the event is family friendly, children 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, the festival is fully cashless, and there is no re-entry. Gate times for 2027 had not been posted as of October 3, 2026; the box office opens at noon Friday and 11:00 AM Saturday.
The lineup was announced on August 5, 2026 and is split by day on the official lineup page: 32 acts. Friday, March 5 is led by FISHER, Joji and Sammy Virji, with Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Stryv, Gelli Haha, DJ Heartstring, Mu, Young & Sick, Brunello, Temper City, Antoine Bourachot, Jules Duke, LivvieP and DASI DASI. Saturday, March 6 is led by Disco Lines and Lola Young, with Ian Asher, BLOND:ISH, Balu Brigada, Tiga B2B AYYBO, FIFI, Between Friends, SIDEPIECE, Oxis, Roi Turbo, Omlet, Brainwreck, SunTwist, Dean Turnley and Barrett. Jane Remover was on the August announcement but withdrew, and the updated poster lists Flying Lotus instead, as reported by PinkNews. Stage names and set times for 2027 had not been published as of October 3, 2026.
Steele Indian School Park is a 75-acre city park on Central Avenue and Indian School Road, right on the Valley Metro light rail line. M3F moved there in 2024 after a decade at Margaret T. Hance Park downtown, because it had outgrown Hance Park, according to Phoenix New Times. In 2026 the festival ran three stages, Vista, Cosmic and Daydream, per AZ Big Media. The official ticket types page lists GA with 25+ performances across multiple stages and art installations, VIP with private viewing areas, VIP bars, expedited entry and VIP restrooms, and a limited-capacity Club Pass with side-stage viewing and complimentary drinks. The nonprofit model and an all-ages, family-friendly crowd are what set M3F apart from the rest of the Phoenix festival calendar.
