What is Temper Festival 2026?

Temper Festival is a new one-day electronic music festival on Wednesday, December 30, 2026, at Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101, the home ballpark of the San Diego Padres. It is produced by LED Presents, the San Diego promoter, and 2026 is the first edition. The official FAQ lists event hours of 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and the event is strictly 18+ with a valid government-issued photo ID. Tickets are sold through Showclix (Leap), and the LED Presents event page links straight to that ticket page.

The official lineup has 25 sets and 27 artists across three stages. The TEMPER stage has Zeds Dead, Whethan, G Jones, Crankdat, Distinct Motive, Mary Droppinz, Levity B2B Richard Finger and jordnmoody B2B snuffy. The SPARK stage has Sara Landry, Ninajirachi, Tiffany Day (DJ set), MGNA CRRRTA (DJ set), Starjunk 95, Zorza, Julia Cooper, Madam X and SEES00000. The EDGE stage has Bad Girl Bailey, Connor Q, Gaszia, HellGnar, Jovella, Kurei, Neumonic and RamonPang. The FAQ says set times will be released closer to the event.

Petco Park sits in the East Village of downtown San Diego, next to the Gaslamp Quarter, and the official FAQ places it between 7th and 10th Avenues, just south of J Street. The Showclix page says the three stages are spread over the stadium, with Field tickets giving floor access at the main stage and Festival (Bowl) tickets giving open, unassigned lower-bowl seating instead. The FAQ lists free water refill stations, bookable lockers, designated smoking corrals and two Guest Services points. What sets Temper apart is the timing: it lands the night before FNGRS CRSSD's 21+ PROPER NYE at the same ballpark, and it is open to 18+.

Travel & Planning Guide

Petco Park is at 100 Park Blvd in downtown San Diego, and San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest airport. The MTS Petco Park page says the Green Line stops at Gaslamp Quarter station, one block away, and the UC San Diego Blue Line and Orange Line stop at 12th & Imperial and Park & Market. A one-way adult fare is $3 and a day pass is $7, paid with the PRONTO app or a PRONTO card. The official FAQ says there are several paid parking lots nearby, many bookable in advance, and that rideshare is highly recommended for arrival and departure.

LED Presents has not announced official hotel partners or a hotel package for Temper. The ballpark is in the East Village next to the Gaslamp Quarter, so downtown hotels in those two neighborhoods put you within walking distance. Book early: PROPER NYE, FNGRS CRSSD's festival, takes over the same ballpark on Thursday, December 31, 2026 and Friday, January 1, 2027 according to San Diego Tourism Authority, and downtown rooms fill fast over New Year's week.

Buy from the official Showclix ticket page; the FAQ says LED Presents cannot verify tickets bought from third-party sellers, and Showclix says all sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. Bring your physical government-issued photo ID, because the FAQ says your ticket name does not need to match it, but DMV temporary IDs are refused. The official FAQ does not mention re-entry; Petco Park's general entry policy allows it with a digital ticket scan out and back in, but confirm with LED Presents before you plan on leaving. For order help on the day, the Showclix page points you to the box office at 100 Park Blvd.

What to Know Before You Go

🪪
Bring a real ID, not a temporary one

Temper is strictly 18+, and the official FAQ says you must show a valid government-issued photo ID: a U.S. driver's license, U.S. state photo ID, a U.S. or foreign passport, or a U.S. military ID. DMV temporary IDs are not accepted, so if you lost your ID, replace it now. Your ticket name does not have to match your ID, which makes transfers within your group easier. If you are 21 or older and plan to drink, Petco Park checks ID again at the bar.

🧥
Pack for a rain-or-shine winter night

The official FAQ calls Temper a rain or shine event and encourages warm layers, ponchos and boots. Music runs until 11:00 PM on December 30, so the evening gets cold on the open field. Umbrellas are banned under Petco Park policy, so a poncho is your rain plan. The FAQ notes that most lower-bowl seating overlooking the field is covered, which helps if you hold a Festival Pass and the weather turns.

👜
Use a clear bag and book a locker

Petco Park allows only clear, single-compartment plastic bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, clutches up to 5 x 7 inches, and medical or infant bags, and every bag is inspected. Anything bigger stays home or goes in a locker. Lockers are sold on Showclix for $30.75 including fees and measure 11 by 13.5 by 18 inches. The FAQ highly recommends reserving ahead, and you get your locker number and code by email and text 12 hours before doors.

💧
Bring an empty bottle, not a CamelBak

The official FAQ says CamelBaks and other hydration packs are not allowed under venue rules. You may bring one empty plastic or Nalgene water bottle of 32 ounces or less, and metal bottles are not allowed. Free water refill stations are inside the venue, so fill up between sets. With eight hours of music from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, drink water through the whole day, not only during the last sets on the TEMPER stage.

🎫
Know which ticket gets you on the field

Both Temper tickets get you into the festival and all three stages. The Field Pass adds access to the stadium field and the main-stage floor. The Festival Pass, called GA Bowl on the official site, gives open, unassigned lower-bowl seating with no field access. On the Showclix page checked October 3, 2026, the only Festival Pass tier was sold out and Field Passes were selling at $145. Buy from Showclix only, because resale tickets cannot be verified.

🚋
Take the trolley or a rideshare

The official FAQ highly recommends rideshare and says nearby parking lots are paid, with many bookable ahead of time. The San Diego Trolley is the cheaper option: MTS says the Green Line stops at Gaslamp Quarter station one block from the ballpark, and the Blue and Orange Lines stop at 12th & Imperial and Park & Market. Load the PRONTO app before you go; a one-way ride is $3 and a day pass is $7, so you are covered both ways.
