What is Winter Music Conference 2027?

Winter Music Conference (WMC) is the electronic music industry conference that has run in Miami since 1985, and the 2027 edition is its 37th. It takes place Wednesday, March 24 through Friday, March 26, 2027 at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel, 270 Biscayne Blvd Way, Miami, FL 33131, in Downtown Miami, not Miami Beach. The official site credits the event to Global Conference Group, Inc. The schedule on the Fever badge page has early badge pickup from 1 PM to 8 PM and an opening pool party from 6 PM to 9 PM on Wednesday, programming from 12 PM to 6 PM plus a second pool party from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, and programming from 12 PM to 4 PM on Friday. The official FAQ says conference programming is 18+ and pool parties are strictly 21+.

WMC is a conference first, so the program is panels, keynotes and workshops rather than DJ sets. The About page lists panel discussions, keynote interviews, hands-on workshops, a Gear Exhibition Room, A&R Pop-Up Sessions with labels, curated networking sessions and two rooftop pool parties, split across two programming tracks, Industry and Creators. Speakers and pool party DJs for 2027 had not been announced as of October 3, 2026. For reference, the 2026 edition at the same hotel had Armin van Buuren, Alison Wonderland, Sasha, Dubfire, Danny Daze and Sara Landry on panels, and Beatport Live pool parties with DJ Sneak, Danny Tenaglia, Radio Slave b2b DJ Minx and acts from Hot Creations, per the official 2026 programming announcement.

The Kimpton EPIC Hotel is the Official Miami Music Week Hotel, and WMC registration runs from its 14th-floor desk. Everything happens inside the hotel: session rooms, the gear exhibitor hall, the A&R Pop-Up Lounge where you can play demos for label teams, and the pool deck overlooking Biscayne Bay for the parties. The single badge type, the WMC Pro Badge, also gets you free entry to WMC sanctioned Miami Music Week events around the city, though the FAQ says that entry depends on venue capacity and is not guaranteed. What makes WMC different from the rest of Miami Music Week is the format: daytime learning and networking with the people who book, sign and manage DJs, and then the week's parties at night. The International Dance Music Awards, founded at WMC in 1985 and revived in 2026, are tied to the conference, but 2027 IDMA details had not been announced as of October 3, 2026.

Artists & Performers

The 2027 speaker and pool party lineups have not been announced yet. The 2026 edition featured Armin van Buuren, Sara Landry, Alison Wonderland, Sasha and Dubfire on panels and DJ Sneak and Danny Tenaglia at the pool parties.

Travel & Planning Guide

WMC is at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel at 270 Biscayne Blvd Way in Downtown Miami, on the Miami River where it meets Biscayne Bay. Miami International Airport (MIA) is the closest major airport. The official FAQ warns that Miami Music Week traffic is heavy, especially between Miami Beach and Downtown, and asks you to allow at least one hour to reach the venue and up to 1 to 1.5 hours at peak times. It recommends Uber, Lyft or public transport, says a public parking lot is nearby, and says the hotel's valet is not recommended for non-guests because of demand during the conference.

There is no camping; this is a hotel conference. The FAQ offers an exclusive discounted room rate at the Kimpton EPIC for WMC delegates staying between Tuesday, March 23 and Friday, March 26, 2027, booked through the hotel link on the FAQ page, and says rooms are limited. Ultra Music Festival runs March 26 to 28, 2027 at Bayfront Park, per the Ultra website, so Downtown hotels fill up for the whole week. Staying in Downtown or Brickell keeps you close to the conference; Miami Beach is where many night parties happen but costs you the long drive back.

Buy the badge on Fever, then collect it in person: early registration is on Wednesday, March 24 in the hotel lobby, and on Thursday and Friday registration opens at 11 AM at the 14th-floor desk. The FAQ says you must register under your legal name, not an artist name, and bring a valid ID that matches it. One pickup covers all three days. Programming is 18+ and the two pool parties are strictly 21+. Sanctioned Miami Music Week events are included with the badge, but entry is first come, first served at each venue's capacity.

What to Know Before You Go

🪪
Register under your legal name

The official FAQ is strict on this: you must register using your legal name, not your DJ or artist name, and you need a valid ID that matches that name to collect your badge. If you bought a badge for a teammate, make sure their legal name is on it before March. Badges cannot be changed, modified or refunded after purchase, so fix any typo with WMC support at the contact on the FAQ page before you fly.

🕐
Pick up your badge on Wednesday

Early registration runs on Wednesday, March 24, the day before panels start. The Fever page lists pickup from 1 PM to 8 PM and the official FAQ lists 11 AM to 8 PM in the hotel lobby, so aim for the afternoon. Collecting it Wednesday gets you into the opening pool party from 6 PM and means you skip the Thursday 11 AM line at the 14th-floor desk when programming begins at noon.

🚕
Budget an hour from Miami Beach

The official FAQ warns that Miami Music Week traffic between Miami Beach and Downtown is extremely busy and asks you to allow at least one hour, with peak trips taking 1 to 1.5 hours and getting expensive. It recommends rideshare or public transport and says valet at the Kimpton EPIC is not recommended for non-guests. If you are staying on the Beach, leave well before the noon sessions and plan your evening around one side of the bridge.

🏨
Book the delegate rate early

The FAQ offers a discounted WMC rate at the Kimpton EPIC for stays from Tuesday, March 23 to Friday, March 26, 2027, and says rooms are limited. Staying in the conference hotel removes the commute entirely, and the hotel is the Official Miami Music Week Hotel. Ultra Music Festival starts at Bayfront Park on Friday, March 26, so Downtown rooms get scarce and expensive the closer you book to the week.

🎧
Bring demos for the A&R lounge

The A&R Pop-Up Lounge is where label teams listen to demos in person. In 2026 the official programming announcement listed Balance Music, Dirtybird, Experts Only, Spinnin' Records and Ultra Records among the lounge partners. The 2027 label list was not out as of October 3, 2026. Have finished tracks ready on your phone or a USB stick, keep them short, and have your socials and a contact email ready to share.

🎟️
Sanctioned parties are not guaranteed

The Pro Badge includes free entry to WMC sanctioned Miami Music Week events across the city, but the official FAQ says entry is subject to venue capacity and is not guaranteed, and recommends arriving early. Treat the badge as a bonus for nights you were already planning, and buy a ticket for any show you cannot miss. The two rooftop pool parties at the hotel are included and are strictly 21+.
