What is Tahoe Live 2026?

Tahoe Live 2026 takes place on Friday, December 11, Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13, 2026 at Palisades Tahoe, 1960 Olympic Valley Road, Olympic Valley, CA 96146, the ski resort that hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics about 45 miles from Reno. The festival is produced by the Tahoe Live team led by founder and CEO Dustin Esson, who also runs the Park City Live venue in Utah, with Palisades Tahoe as venue partner. The official guide lists the same hours all three days: box office 2pm to 9pm, gates 3pm to 10pm, music ends at 10pm. It is an 18+ event, and the Palisades Tahoe event page adds "no exceptions". This is the fourth edition at Palisades (the festival launched in 2022 and moved here in 2023) and the second three-day one; the 2025 edition sold out, according to the Sierra Sun.

The 2026 lineup is out: 21 artists, listed alphabetically on the official lineup page, with Chris Lake, GRiZ and Knock2 at the top, then Madeon (DJ set), Noizu, Teddy Pain (T-Pain's DJ set), Walker & Royce and YDG, followed by Cole Knight, Control Freak, Daniel Allan, DEVAULT, HerShe, Klo, Mary Droppinz, Nala, WINK x Nikko, BUNS, KHØDA LEON, DJ UNI and Zaddy B. The announcement, reported by TicketNews on September 15, 2026, says performances happen on a single stage at the base of the mountain so you can see every artist without overlapping set times, and that more artists are still to be announced. The official lineup page has an "Artists By Day" tab, but as of October 3, 2026 it is empty, so day splits and set times are not announced yet. Esson told Exron Music the 2026 bill was deliberately opened up from last year's bass-heavy lineup to house, bass and high-energy electronic.

The official location page says the festival is built in the parking lot next to the Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram, a five-minute walk from The Village at Palisades Tahoe, at about 6,200 feet of elevation. GA gets the full grounds, local food vendors and several bars and beer gardens; VIP adds a dedicated check-in lane, private restrooms, VIP-only bars and food, a heated lounge and a private viewing area close to the stage, per the official ticket info page. The FAQ promises free water refill stations, marked first aid, an ADA viewing area with wristbands from the box office, and a totem policy (10 ft max, foam or PVC, no metal). What makes Tahoe Live different is the format: Palisades' VP of marketing Matt Peterson calls it the only dance music festival held on the grounds of a U.S. ski resort, so you can ski or ride by day, then walk from the lifts to the stage at night. The Palisades Tahoe blog also lists a KT Bass Bar pre-party from 11am to 3pm before doors each day.

Travel & Planning Guide

The official guide names two airports: Reno-Tahoe International (RNO), about 45 miles away and the most convenient, and Sacramento International (SMF), about 120 miles southwest. From either you drive Interstate 80 to Truckee, then Highway 89 south to Olympic Valley Road. This is a Sierra Nevada mountain pass in mid-December, so check the Palisades Tahoe road conditions page and Caltrans before you leave, carry chains, and give yourself extra time if a storm is forecast. The official location page says parking is free all three event days with no reservation needed, ADA parking is available with a valid placard, parking on neighboring streets is not allowed, and overnight parking is not permitted: cars left after hours are towed at the owner's expense. There are marked rideshare drop-off and pick-up zones at the entrance, free area transit (Mountaineer, TART and TART Connect) for daytime ski trips, and the page lists three taxi companies: Anytime Taxi 530-414-4187, North Tahoe Checker 530-546-8844 and Fast Taxi 530-583-6699.

Camping is not permitted at Palisades Tahoe, the FAQ says. The festival's recommended lodging is The Village at Palisades Tahoe, a five-minute walk from the stage, with full kitchens, in-room fireplaces, eight outdoor hot tubs and underground parking; the official guide says attendees get 15% off when they book direct with promo code TAHOELIVE through the official guide page. Staying in the Village means no driving after the show and no towing risk. Other options are hotels and rentals in Olympic Valley, Tahoe City (about 6 miles), Truckee (about 12 miles) and Reno (about an hour); if you stay outside the valley, plan your ride home before you arrive, since taxis and rideshares in the mountains can be scarce late at night.

Tickets are sold only through Paylogic at tickets.tahoelive.net, and the FAQ warns that passes bought anywhere else are not official. Every ticket must be personalized with the attendee's name; if you buy several, you can send the extras to your friends by email or link so each person claims their own. Entry is a digital pass scanned from your phone at the gate, and the FAQ recommends taking a screenshot before you arrive because cell service is limited in the valley. Doors open at 3pm each day and the FAQ suggests arriving early, with peak entry between 5pm and 7pm. Re-entry is not addressed on the official pages, so plan to stay once you are in. All sales are final, there are no refunds or downgrades, but you can upgrade GA to VIP inside the ticketing platform and pay the difference.

What to Know Before You Go

📸
Screenshot Your Pass Before The Drive

The official FAQ says cell service is limited in Olympic Valley and asks you to arrive with your Paylogic pass ready to scan. Take a screenshot of the QR code while you still have signal in Truckee or Reno, and make sure each friend has claimed and personalized their own ticket, because every pass carries the attendee's name. Carry your physical photo ID too: the event is 18+ with no exceptions.

🧥
Dress For A Night Outdoors At 6,200 Feet

The stage sits in an open parking lot next to the Aerial Tram, the show runs until 10pm, and the ticket page says rain or shine. Wear an insulated jacket, thermal base layers, a hat, gloves and waterproof boots with grip for packed snow. Hand warmers are not on the prohibited list. Blankets, tents and chairs are banned, so warmth has to come from what you wear. VIP buyers get a heated lounge to thaw out.

⛷️
Ski Or Ride Before Doors

Gates open at 3pm, so the mountain is yours all morning. The Palisades Tahoe blog lists a KT Bass Bar pre-party from 11am to 3pm, and the official location page points to the free Mountaineer, TART and TART Connect buses for daytime trips to the lifts so you do not have to move your car. Lift tickets are sold separately by Palisades Tahoe and are not part of any festival pass.

🚗
Park Free, But Never Overnight

The official location page says parking is free all three days with no reservation, but overnight parking is not permitted and vehicles left after hours are towed at the owner's expense, and street parking in the neighborhood is banned. If you plan to drink, use the marked rideshare zones or call one of the listed taxi companies (Anytime Taxi, North Tahoe Checker, Fast Taxi), or stay in the Village and walk home.

💧
Drink More Water Than You Think

Olympic Valley is about 6,200 feet up, and the official FAQ reminds you that elevation makes hydration matter more. Bring an empty reusable bottle or a hydration pack with a removable clear bladder; both pass security and refill for free at the water stations marked near walkways and food vendors. Cold air hides dehydration, so take a water break between sets even when you are not thirsty.

🏨
Book The Village With Code TAHOELIVE

The official guide gives attendees 15% off The Village at Palisades Tahoe with promo code TAHOELIVE when you book direct. It is a five-minute walk from the stage, rooms have kitchens and fireplaces, and there is underground parking, which solves the no-overnight-parking rule. Camping is not allowed anywhere at Palisades. Fly into Reno (about 45 miles) rather than Sacramento (about 120 miles) if you can.
