Madeon is the French producer Hugo Leclercq, born in Nantes in 1994, who began composing at eleven. He went viral in 2011 when a YouTube clip of his live mashup “Pop Culture” — 39 tracks blended in one unedited take on a Novation Launchpad — drew millions of views and announced a prodigious new voice in electropop and future bass.
His debut album Adventure (2015) topped the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart, and in 2016 he reunited with lifelong friend Porter Robinson for “Shelter” and a celebrated joint tour. His introspective second album Good Faith (2019) earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
