Nero are a British electronic trio formed in London in 2004 by Dan Stephens and Joe Ray, with vocalist Alana Watson joining as a full member. Rooted in dubstep and drum & bass, they craft a cinematic sound shaped by sci-fi film scores, New Wave synths and orchestral dynamics.
They broke through with the debut album Welcome Reality (2011), which entered the UK Albums Chart at #1 and spawned “Innocence,” “Me & You” and “Promises.” The Skrillex remix of “Promises” won them the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording in 2013. Their second album Between II Worlds (2015) expanded the palette further.
