Nina Kraviz — born in Irkutsk, Siberia — is one of the most singular artists in techno. Before music, she trained and qualified as a dentist in Moscow; she then turned fully to DJing and production, bringing a raw, psychedelic and unmistakably personal voice to the dancefloor.
Her 2011 cut “Ghetto Kraviz” became an underground anthem, and her 2012 self-titled debut album marked her as a star. In 2014 she founded her own label, трип (Trip), a home for raw, acid- and electro-leaning techno, later adding the GALAXIID imprint.
