Who is ODESZA?
Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight built one of electronic music’s most cinematic live experiences.
ODESZA is the American indietronica duo of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, formed in 2012 at Western Washington University in Bellingham. Their debut Summer’s Gone spread virally that same year, built on layered samples, shimmering synths and widescreen emotional builds.
They signed to Ninja Tune for the breakthrough In Return (2014), home to “Say My Name” and “Sun Models,” and founded their own Foreign Family Collective in 2015. The third album A Moment Apart (2017) debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and earned two Grammy nominations, as the duo took their drumline-backed live show to Madison Square Garden and beyond.
Their fourth album The Last Goodbye (2022) anchored a farewell touring cycle that sold over 1.5 million tickets and closed with three sold-out nights at The Gorge in July 2024. Explore more electronic music artists in the full DJ directory, or visit their official site.

Legacy & Influence
ODESZA’s drumline-driven live show and farewell tour made them one of the defining independent electronic acts of their generation.
From a viral debut to headlining Madison Square Garden, ODESZA built one of the most ambitious live experiences in electronic music — complete with a full marching drumline. Their farewell cycle around The Last Goodbye (2022) sold more than 1.5 million tickets across 50-plus North American dates and concluded with a three-night Finale at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington in July 2024.
Since then the duo have stepped back from large-scale touring, remaining active in the studio with remix and score work. No new headline tour has been announced — but their catalogue, from In Return to A Moment Apart, remains a cornerstone of modern electronic music.
