Skrillex — born Sonny John Moore in Los Angeles, California — is the most decorated producer in dubstep history and one of the most influential figures in modern electronic music. With 8 Grammy Awards to his name, Skrillex broke dubstep into the global mainstream with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (2010) and has spent the past 15 years redefining what bass music sounds like.
In 2011 Skrillex founded OWSLA, a label and collective that became the home of forward-leaning bass music, breaking artists like Porter Robinson, Mr. Carmack, What So Not and many more. He also co-founded the duo Jack Ü with Diplo, scoring the global #1 "Where Are Ü Now" with Justin Bieber.
In 2023 Skrillex released two albums simultaneously (Quest for Fire and Don't Get Too Close), then headlined the legendary surprise Coachella B2B set with Fred again.. and Four Tet — widely considered one of the most iconic live electronic moments of the decade.
