Sub Focus is the British DJ and producer Nick Douwma, who grew up in Guildford teaching himself production by ear. A demo handed to RAM Records founder Andy C changed everything — Andy C signed his tracks on the spot, beginning a partnership with the scene’s most storied drum & bass label.
He built his reputation on dancefloor anthems that bridged underground rave culture and the charts. His self-titled 2009 debut reached the UK Albums Chart, while singles like “Could This Be Real,” “Tidal Wave” and “Turn It Around” showed a rare gift for melody. His 2013 album Torus took him to the top of major UK festival stages.
