Who is Tchami?

The full story of Tchami's rise, sound and signature catalogue.

Tchami — born Martin Bresso in Cahors, France — is one of the most influential French electronic producers of his generation, widely credited as a pioneer of future house. His signature blend of soulful gospel vocals, deep basslines and crisp, churchy chord stabs gave the genre its instantly recognizable sound.

He first broke through co-writing DJ Snake's global smash “Turn Down for What” in 2014, then went solo with “After Life” and “Promesses.” In 2015 he founded his own label, Confession, which became a home for the darker, deeper side of house, and he tours as a core member of the Pardon My French collective alongside DJ Snake, Malaa and Mercer.

After years of EPs and singles, Tchami released his debut studio album Year Zero in 2021. He continues to headline festivals and clubs worldwide. Explore more artists in the DJ directory, or read more on Tchami's Wikipedia page.
