Who is Subtronics?
Jesse Kardon turned riddim’s obsessive precision into a global movement under the Cyclops banner.
Subtronics is the Philadelphia producer Jesse Kardon, who fell into the aggressive basslines of early dubstep as a teenager and began releasing as Subtronics in 2013. His sound is built on meticulously engineered wobbles, off-kilter rhythms and otherworldly sound design.
He built his fanbase track by track before the 2019 Billboard top-ten hit “Griztronics” with GRiZ announced his arrival. In 2020 he founded Cyclops Recordings, and albums Fractals (2022) and Tesseract (2024) both reached the Billboard dance top five. His devoted Cyclops Army turns out in force at the annual Cyclops Dome arena shows and his Red Rocks residency.
