Who is SLANDER?

The full story of SLANDER's rise, sound and signature catalogue.

SLANDER is an American DJ and production duo from Los Angeles, made up of Derek Andersen and Scott Land — whose surnames combine to spell the group's name. The pair came up through the Southern California bass scene and built a sound that fuses crushing dubstep drops with euphoric, vocal-driven melody, a style fans and the duo themselves dubbed “heaven trap.”

Alongside their friend and frequent collaborator NGHTMRE, SLANDER co-founded the Gud Vibrations label and North American tour series, and they run their own imprint, Heaven Sent. Tracks like “Superhuman” (2017) and the genre-crossing “Kneel Before Me” (2018) widened their reach across electronic and rock audiences alike.

In 2019 “Love Is Gone” with Dylan Matthew became SLANDER's defining anthem, and in 2022 they released their debut studio album Thrive, a concept record built around a cosmic love story. Explore more artists in the DJ directory, or read more on SLANDER's Wikipedia page.
